I think they made the right choice, the contest was mostly about showmanship and Ed ripped it up on that department and also showed some great technique smile.gif

Muris shoud have been a close 2nd though sad.gif 4th just isn't enough!

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato

Obviously Muris' entry was good but it wasn't entertaining like a lot of other entries (ie didnt dress up or anything).

Hehe, Ed was pretty good!
But Muris was so much better, imo... Congratulations with beeing top 5 in this competition, anyway! People should start notice that you're on the top in most of these competitions soon ^^

Makes me think though.... At one point, all guitarists are equally "good".. But some guitarists evolve their own style which sends them over the top that is the huge "pile" of guitarists tongue.gif
