Hey guys,
here is a little rock riff I wrote. It features the chords D - A# - C - A#
tab.gp4 ( 2.05K )
: 370
I am not completely satisfied with this progression. Especially with the last chord. What chord would you use instead?
Are they any other progression you would prefer for this kind of riff? I know it's all up to yourself, but I want to hear your opinion and how you would decide. This would actually help me a lot

As the last chord I will say plain F or even better F/A.... in my opinion.

EDIT: I was meaning G and A/C# of course.... It was sounding in C major here.........

I would an A or possibly an F.

How about this?
Skalde.gp5 ( 3.2K )
: 102
Skalde.gp4 ( 2.07K )
: 119That sounded quite ok imo,
the last power chord was 7th degree in natural minor,
you can change it and use 5th degree instead if you want, or even 3rd degree.
5th would be Bb (Ab) and 3rd would be F (Eb).....( actually pitch cause of D tuning).

I like your idea, Ivan. Is there a specific reason you came up with this progression?
