Well , I finally got around to recording the solo I have been working on( Bark at the moon )and after about 1 hour and some change( even though I new it was rough) I decided to post my attempt, and having listened to it again with fresh ears I was shocked
bends that I thought I kept in tune, passages that I thought were in time, were not.

I mean , I was shocked and I think that to many times repeating phrases slowly got my timing and my bending off /out of tune .
was wondering has this happened to anyone, and I know next time I will at least wait a day to reevaluate

Don't feel bad my friend. When it came time for me to record my solos for The Reckoning, I was surprised how difficult I found it. You spend so much time on other things like technique (or just not spending any time on it at all, which was my crime) and you find you have trouble with basic bends and things you thought you had nailed.

No biggie, it's just the other areas need their love too wink.gif

I know what you mean, it's a good question.

I think you really have to be comfortable playing what you are recording, other wise you'll never feel happy with the result. Also, really know what you want out of the recording, in this case, as it's a cover solo, then I guess the goal is to sound as close as possible to the original, that should a guideline
