Hello Everyone, about me

Aug 8 2009, 11:11 PM	GMC:er Posts: 198 Joined: 8-August 09 From: germany	Hi there! Beware: This post may contain many errors or typos I am 25 years old and live in germany. I started playing the guitar at the age of twelve or somewhere around that. I began with some classical stuff on a western guitar, had lessons for about a year or two. Then i stopped playing for a few months and restarted with a half-year course in some school near by. After that, again, i stopped playing for a while. When i was 16 i had some luck (i think it was luck ) and could trade my old western guitar for an 80s Charvel E-guitar. From that on i was eager to learn to play again. But with school and everything it was at the level of an hour a week. 3 years ago, i again got motivated to learn some more stuff. I spend a lot of money to fix up my stuff and even bought a book. From there on i am at about 5-6 hours of practise a week. This is practically where i am stuck. I never played in a band, i can play two or three whole songs but i cant improvise or jam very good. A year ago i decided to put some pressure onto myself by regulary buying some expensive equipment (you bought that stuff, you have to use it ). So today i can play better than most beginners but i still miss the whole improvising, jam-along stuff , soloing etc. Thats why i came to gmc. I hope to find people who can help me get better and understand my guitar-related problems. Now i wrote a lot of stuff about me, if you want to know more, just ask. EDIT: Omg, im so stupid... forgot some of the most important infos. My preferred musical style is somewhere in the metal direction. Personal favorites are Gammar Ray, Helloween and stuff like Iron Savior, additional influences: Iron Maiden, Hammerfall, Edguy, DIe Apokalyptischen Reiter and many more. He is my alltime favorite guitar player and does an amazing work in all of his projects. So its some sort of goal for me to play a lot of his stuff.
