GMC Forum _ Introduce Yourself ! _ Hey There

Well, hi all! I'm Joaquin, from Uruguay, been playing for almost 6 years now. I play a variety of styles, mostly blues based (classic/hard/prog rock, heavy metal, the very blues). I'm not that much of a gearhead, I'm more of the one-guitar-at-a-time guy. I have an Epi LP, an Ibanez acoustic 12-string and that's about it (oh, and a Wah pedal and a flanger, and the amp of course). My technique isn't quite advanced, not much of a shredder since it's something I always tried to avoid (becoming a robot), but hopefully I'll learn some new tricks here .

As to how I joined, I had been lurking around the site for quite some time and following Kris' lessons on UG, so it was a matter of time until I gave in . There were so many lessons I wanted to learn yet I only got to see the first part that it drove me nuts! Right now I'm struggling with the SRV had a little Strat lesson, but I thought I'd stop by and say hello to everyone

welcome, u have a cool name by the way...Joaquin is it? U picked a great site for blues but u will most definitely pick up another style while u r here. The lessons are so intriguing. Its a great community. Have fun learning and dont forget to show us covers of lessons wwhen ur done with them
