Hello people, so i would like to se your opinions on acoustic guitars, i don't have a ton of experience with acoustic guitars so that's why im asking, i need to get one and i just met a guy that imports old Japanese guitars, from the 70-80s, and he has some very cool acoustics for about $200!
Im talking about yamaha, fender, tokai, greco etc. Now im thinking, metal or nylon strings? share ur thoughts! -------------------- Check my Instructor Profile Rockers! Got a Blog too!, www.adriantracks.com Follow me on facebook and youtube! -Youtube |

That's a very good price man! I prefer metal strings for blues, rock, pop and metal.

Well, personally I would go for steel. It's possible to do some bends with it, and it's good for many styles. nylon is awesome, has great sound, but dunno, steel is better

thanks guys, so it eds up like the "vitage" guitars were a pile of Japanese trash , so i went to try some new ones, because i needed a guitar to travel and compose and i found a $200 steel guitar from china, i was very suspicious about it at first, but it does sound good and it's comfortable to play, better than many $400 ibanez, in the headstock it says "melody" but i don't care about that

hey thanks guys, in the end i had to give back the guitar, it had a very nasty imperfection in the fretboard that i didn't notice in the store
BUT i put some more money in and got myself an ibanez, lovely guitar, souds incredible for a $200-$300 acoustic, will post some pics soon -------------------- Check my Instructor Profile Rockers! Got a Blog too!, www.adriantracks.com Follow me on facebook and youtube! -Youtube |

for me that's a tough question right now. I mean, Nylon strings are just lovely and in some way more versatile for soloing and stuff like that. But then again, metal strings sound is huge!
