About: Advanced Three-Level solo...

I can play most of the parts fluently at this point, mostly thanks to building up from the beginner to intermediate, but the issue is that, especially at the 3rd video (where you run down [It's down, right? - when you move up the strings to the lower sounds?]) where I can only play as fast as the 120 bps metronome plays. I guess this is just 1 note per beat....

My question is, how do you build speed up to do 6 notes per beat (which is 32nds, right?), specifically with that run? Also, how do you hear yourself playing 6 notes before the beat? The beats are so close together...

Hi Rain,

Sorry,but I'm a little confused here unsure.gif
Is it really the Three-Level-Solo, Advanced you're asking about? it looks more like you're asking about the Neoclassical Three-Level-Lesson, Advanced?

Anyway, 32nds is actually 8 notes per beat. And the way to build up speed is always to practice slow at first and increase the speed bit by bit. That's the only way I know of smile.gif

Ack! Yes, the neoclassical Three-Level-Lesson, Advanced. : /

Should I try finding a sweet spot where I can do the 8 notes per beat then building up from there bps wise, or should I stay at 120 bps and just try to do two notes per beat...then four, etc etc?

PS: I didn't notice that other Three-Level solo - time to work on that one too : )

Hm.. good question! smile.gif
I think both ways should work fine, but to me it would feel more natural to do the 8 notes per beat at slow bpm and then increase the bpm...
