Simply put, Limewire is only illegal if you use it to download things that you don't have permission to... downloading things with a copyright is actually illegal.

I think some of the music companies were trying to sue LimeWare at 1 point, and I assume that cos the product is still around this was not a complete success at least. I suppose it could be the case that usage of such software could be outlawed in some countries and not other. QUOTE Yep and MUSIC IS AN ART NOT A BUSINNESS so ignore all the crap and get with the program and fill up your mp3 with more than thousand songs... I can empathize with this and in a sense I understand where it u are coming from. For sure, the current situation rgds distribution and sale of music is not right. But, ignoring music companies etc, I still think that the author has the right to some proceeds for the use of their product. For example, if someone robbed all the videos off this site and was free to use them, do u think this site would still be here and do u think the content would have been created in the first place? Unless Kris, and all the other instructors are millionaires, why would they bother to put the time in? Of course it may happen from a sense of good will to all (wo)men, but in the real world that will only get u so far....people have jobs to do and usually need some return in order to justify putting large amounts of their valuable time in in order to create quality content. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Is_Limewire_illegal QUOTE i dont know where i can download free songs such as crazy train, i am a viking, black star, and far beyond the sun And lastly I have to apologise to Xranthoius for high-jacking ur thread and probably helping to turn it into something u did not intend and certainly does not answer ur original question:) I guess in short, if u want to find out if there is any possibilty of aquiring these songs legally for free u could check the copyrights, but I suspect that they all are still under copyright. Therefore, any place that u aquire them for free is likely to be illegal, or at least if the place itself is not illegal, ur downloading and usage of them probably would be, depending on ur country. This kind of topic most certainly does not belong here.
