Here my issue. Im basically spending too little time on each lesson. GMC has so much variety that the moment i find a lesson hard or my guitar pratice time is up i skip it and move on to another. I basically tackle 3 lessons a day without finishing them, understanding or learning the tabs for them.
So how do you practice your lessons? Do you do many lessons at a time? How do you deal with hard lessons (im finding Gabriels Malnestemm 2 lesson hard)? I really need to get organized and use my time effectively and derive the best restults out of my efforts and time. There are many things i want to learn, but i have to be dedicated to one lesson at a time. And finally how do you structure you guitar practice time (do you have a schedule or you just play any lesson you want)? Thanks -------------------- _____________________________________________________

Thanks a lot for the help Matt (as usual),
Ill had a go at Gabriels alt pick lesson, but didnt finish now im going to get back to and yeah, NAIL IT! And Matt why arent you a senior yet. I remember once during the summer i slightly threw a pun at you when you tried to become a senior but now i think its well deserved that you become one. You really put in a LOT of effort to help others and now you do have all the qualities of a senior. -------------------- _____________________________________________________

Thanks a lot guys. Ive now got it clear. I need to focus on one lesson at a time. Its just that with so many lessons on GMC you cant help but juggle around with them (im sure many people have this problem also).

heh i'm have same problem actualy i'm try to folow the rules like you write below 1.beghiner lesson 2.101 kris stuff 3. and other stuff but what make me uncertainly..i'm never know when i'm ready to take new lesson..for example i'm working now on beghiner licks..but i'm not sure if i'm allredy know the previous stuff enough becouse im know i'm play for example the scale like 100% better like month ago but thats maybe not enough i'm allready scare i'm gonna lose my previous skills so i'm try repeat all stuff what i'm learn first..but thats cuting my practise time i'm complicate person Dont worry about the beginner lessons (theyre supposed to make you a bit more confident in your practicing and playing). Work on thw 1-0-1 and other lessons on the site. I may be confused but there are some lessons that really increased my speed. They were: -Kris's speedpicking -Pavels alternate picking series -Pavels ionian scale lesson -Pavels Legato series -Pavels sweep picking series Id suggest you go through these lessons in the order mentioned above as theyre essential. While youre at it take a look a Kris's pentatonic lessons. Once youve done those you can work on other lessons on GMC with a bit ease. Im yet for finish Pavels sweep picking and Kris pentatonic lessons.
