An Idea For A New Gmc Section That Would Make Me Happy!, And I hope many other people too!

Hi all,

Just had an idea that maybe some others would enjoy as much as me, if that's even possible! smile.gif

Ok, I know it has been discussed before about being able to download the backing tracks for the lessons. I know it will hopefully be implemented soon.

This topic is not exactly about that!, but it has to do with backing tracks too, but not necessarily "lesson" backing tracks.

Ok, let me try to explain my points of view:

I love playing and besides practicing a few scales with the metronome, techniques, video lessons, there's one other thing that can make me play for hours without even noticing, and that is when I come across a cool backing track to jam over! wink.gif

I remember recently someone post about the great site jamcenter, so many cool backing tracks there to jam for hours. And sometimes some of our members post some really good backings in the uploads section. Not to mention the excellent backings our instructors come up with for their lessons, and collabs.

Why not make a section with downloadable loopable backing tracks?

They do NOT have to be lesson related. Just a nice backing track to jam over. Maybe with some indications such as which scales would suit them best, etc.

Wouldn't that be great? Everybody could contribute to the section, instructors, members... all instructors and many members have the knowledge to make them loopable, so that you can use them to jam for a minute... or an hour!

I know there are already many backing tracks to lessons, but they are not really loopable (most of them aren`t, they have a beginning and an end, which makes them not suitable to jam non-stop). So what I propose is somewhat different, fits different needs. Jamming needs laugh.gif tongue.gif

Maybe I'm starting to repeat myself. Quit reading!! laugh.gif laugh.gif

Seriously, I hope I made my point across, I bet we all could come up with hundreds of excellent backings in a few months time if we share our creations.

There's almost nothing I love as much as finding a great backing track to keep me bussy for the day smile.gif Did I mention it before? tongue.gif

What do you guys think!?

That's a prety cool site you got ther! I think the idea of making a BT section is prety cool, but just like the wiki, we need a lot of tracks to have a nice little library...

https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_fo...?showtopic=6278

I'm sure in future site updates there will be a new player for backing tracks that has the loop option.. smile.gif

Hey Fran,

This is a very good idea. It would be really nice to have a BT library , we just have to start with one BT, and the rest will come.

Congrats for that idea.

Something similar is on the way, don't know what but it definitely has something to do with downloading backing tracks>
