well for separate recording you can use any line in on any card...but if it is a standard chip card integratet on your motherboard you will have very bad sound and big latency...bicouse converter(AD/DA) is not so good on them...that means if you go directly guitar/mixer/comp(any card)audio signal will badly be converted in to digitall.....but first try to find out what crad do you have smile.gif
