I would like to add "...so far" but that's just me. I've just seen too many amazing guitarists right here at GMC!

Thanks for sharing. Interesting list, even though I hardly agree with most of them - but that's the great thing with music, it's all about opinion. smile.gif
Of course best could be rated by sales, but I'm sure most musicians would light their torches if anyone did that. tongue.gif

I really expected For The Love of God to be somewhere at the top half, but it's not even in the list.

Also instrumental is very wide... What about classical music? laugh.gif

That list was pretty interesting, and there were some truly amazing pieces of music listed. I agree regarding GMC. Some of the stuff done by guys like Muris, Emir, Piotr, Zsolt, and others is just as amazing in my opinion.

I didn't say I agreed entirely with the list, just thought it was interesting.

Oh, no problem & I didn't take it that way. smile.gif

Like you said, it's just someone's opinion.

Absolutely! A lot of music these guys do is amazing. There are some lessons I like to just listen to over & over. And we can't leave out the members, either. I love listening to their uploads & REC's. Most of them blow me away by their talent!

It's a very interesting list with some very cool tunes. Thanks for sharing smile.gif Maybe we should have a top 10, 30, intrumental contest here at GMC and pick based on votes? It could be the GMC Fav Instrumental Guitar Tunes. Then we could make lessons out of them and study all the playing. Then again, the lessons for any song we might mention might already exist wink.gif So we could just link them.

I totally agree. Many times I just watch the lessons, uploads, and REC takes for inspiration and to just enjoy the music. Two Lessons that I visit at least once every couple of weeks to just enjoy the music are Emir's Rock Ballad Solo Lesson and Piotr's Whammy bar Phrasing II lesson. Amazing Stuff there!

Thanks Casinostrat, I'll have to check out Emir's Rock Ballad Solo & I totally agree about Piotr's Whammy bar Phrasing II lesson.

I love this site & unfortunately I get too caught up in the forum sometimes & it takes away from my practice. I know what you are gonna say, Todd... practice, Practice, PRACTICE!!!!! biggrin.gif

Well, honestly speaking, it's no surprise to me smile.gif

I often bump into an alarming number of people who think that Santana is the greatest guitarist alive (of course they don't know any other guitarist - it's THAT kind of people I'm talking about) biggrin.gif hopefully, I haven't upset any Santana fans around here tongue.gif
