Yes, a Sax can sound really fine with a guitar band. Show this to her,

Watch Big Man and the guitar starting at 2:12, and at 3:23.

I always loved this song.

edit: I am implying that just listen to some springsteen. and find music for those songs with significant sax in them. my favorite of his was The River, I think that generally appears on lists of the top 100 of all time.

You could check out Ska.
Just look out at youtube for "Ska P" or only Ska, there you should find some bands. And if you like playing offbeat its perfect for you tongue.gif

Well Bob Seager always has a great sax player (Alto Reed) in his music and so did The Boss, Bruce Springsteen, The Boss has Clarence Clemons as his Sax player. Not sure if you like either of them? Actually both Sax players have also done several solo albums along the way so you could look him up and see if they have what you are looking for.

very hard for me to understand how anyone would not like Clarence Clemons. Not saying that would not be the case, just don't understand it.

I was thinking maybe you two could pick a key to play in, make a chord progression and a solo and play that? biggrin.gif
