Ok,it's time for another competition,
as before, the prize will be a lesson from me inspired by your recording! Since most of us are familiar with minor pentatonic scale I thought that this might be a nice starting point for this competition. So stick to any minor pentatonic scale you like, do a solo, riff, use as many different techniques as you want, choices are many. Then I'll rearrange it a little and make a lesson from it. Post your recordings here,it'd be best to do it with backing track to give me good overview of tempo, rhythm, even chord progression etc. Good luck guys!! Deadline is April 10th. 3 participants so far: Siggum Eddiecat Audiopaal This post has been edited by Muris: Apr 4 2008, 12:22 AM -------------------- Youtube

Ok, Muris, here's my crappy take.
The BT's really bad, no fills or whatsoever, but I had fun with guitars! Hope you like it. Cheers, Eddie |

Here is my song for the competition.
Again I recorded the song at Tronds place, as I needed the Marshall sound for this song The whole song is basically built up by the minor pentatonic scale (e-minor), including the solos. So this should fit the competition pretty good I think I've used different techniques throughout the song, different sounds with different effects for the solos and tried to have as much fun with it as possible This one started out as a song I made being inspired by Gabriels "Pentatonic Rock Cliches" lesson, but I had to change the song a little bit from what I originally had in mind to make it into competition material.. Turned out pretty good though, if you ask me Hope you like it Muris, here it is; minor_pentametal.mp3 ( 5.55MB ) Number of downloads: 390 |

Ah, what the heck. This is a re-vamped version one of my solos in our virtual band song. Might not win but sure was fun to make. It was done in CM but we can call it Am, right?
