wow! the craftsmanship alone in that is impressive! the prototype sound is fantastic. I expect they will be a little on the pricey side cool.gif

Modern features (tap tempo! ohmy.gif ) with classic tone, there is an interview on suggestion of youtube. I can only hope Joyo or EHX will make an affordable version of it someday biggrin.gif

Edit; will be 800 buck's USA, not bad actually considering its all hand built in Europe...

That's a good price.
'Fulltone' has been making a tape echo for several years now. A lot more expensive, $1200.00 with tubes. A solid state version will be available coming up ...

OUCH!!!! I'm sure it's a "fair" price for such a nice bit of kit. But EGAD!!!!!! I would never spend that kind of money on one effect, but I do like the emulation of the old tape delay on my ELEVEN RACK smile.gif Probably as close as i'm gonna get. smile.gif

It's got a great emulation of a EP Tape Echo—based on the Maestro Echoplex EP-3. Great for vintage tones. There are some really good plugins from UAD and BRAINWORX that do the same thing as well.

But hey, if you've got a grand to throw at a tape based delay I say go for it!!

I recently commented about this youtube channel, in this video they test some delays. Doesn't comment much about tape delay but it's very informative while demoing some delays, I'm pretty sure very few guitarists these days think about delay tone;

I think you make a great point here smile.gif Every effect can have an impact on tone shaping beyond the intended purpose of the effect.

FOR EXAMPLE! smile.gif
A delay setting of about 90ms will thicken up your guitar tone a bit and make lead passages cut a bit better. I will often stack delays in TH2, using short delay for tone shaping and a longer delay for actual delay smile.gif

Always the little things makes the difference smile.gif

I remember when I first got my processor experimented with the delay and really liked very short time but high feedback settings, it gives a reverb sort of thing although its still a delay.

A nice way to play with delay tone is using send channels on DAW, after the delay and level setuped rest is really fun like adding tubes, tape, distortion...I think expensive digitals delays nowadays work like this too as for routing so the guitar tone is less effected.

Using a bus to set up an fx stack and then blending a bit in is a great way to use fx in a daw smile.gif Also keeping a version of a guitar track entirely clean and blending that in as well. Yngwie used to pull this trick to add percussiveness to his picking.
