I've been using a program called Transcribe! for a while to slow down songs and learn them by ear on the guitar. Yesterday, Andy James had a little contest on his facebook page, and he gave away 5 copies of a program called Riffstation, and I was one of those lucky winners. Looks pretty awesome to me it does the same stuff Transcribe does and more, it can isolate guitar parts, slow down or speed up the tempo, change the tuning of the song, has a built-in accurate metronome and some other cool stuff that I haven't gone into
There's a free trial available on the riffstation website, and its not very expensive if you plan to buy it, either I would definitely recommend this. http://www.riffstation.com/ This post has been edited by sammetal92: Feb 15 2014, 07:06 PM |

Spiff! It also comes with most IK Multimedia software purchases if memory serves. Handy package!

I often see Riffstation ads in front of YouTube videos! Looks like a fancy piece of software Does it actually isolate solos and stuff?

I remember trying this one with some Cirse's song and it worked for chords. I haven't tried it with difficult stuff so I wonder ow it works for tricky solos.
