You will have seen Muris`s custom guitar on his lessons, it was made by MK Guitars in Bosnia for him, its a beautifully finished and great looking guitar and not too long ago he posted http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_forum/index.php?showtopic=8302 thread.
This got me thinking 
Next year I was looking at making a "top end" guitar purchase, but wasnt 100% sure exactly what to get, Ibanez? PRS? this seemed like a really excellent alternative, spec my own guitar! ,I had a read through Muris`s post and he gave me the contact details.
I did a bit of research on woods, pickups, hardware etc, colours, finishes and sent an email with the specs of a custom guitar I would like, to my delight I received an email back with a price, estimated building time and confirmation that this guitar would not be a problem to build.
The choice was easy........ I had to have it 
I have lots of comunications from Mirza of MK guitars and he has very kindly said that he`d take photos for me through various stages of the build, I`m not going to tell you my specs until its finished (around 5 months) but thought I`d start this thread to share my journey with you.
Heres the first picture 
You may notice that he`s written on it, it say "Chris , Merry Christmas & happy new year" I liked that

As you can see,I putted some PUs and bridge just for the impression,
those are not your pieces of course.
Mirza told me about color you wanted,nice choice I can say mate

I think this is awsome Muris that you do this for another member. I'm sure you and Chris go back awhile here at GMC.

Mirza is gonna start with painting both body and neck by the end of the week,
in a mean while I grabbed neck and took few picts,

I spoke with Mirza today,
he finished painting and now he's into lacquer part.
Says he spent more time then expected to find the right level of the color
but he also says that you're gonna like it.
He'll send me few picts on Monday and then I'm gonna post them here.

Well for any one that has followed this thread the fantastic moment will soon be here, the guitar is FINISHED
today it should be in the capable & safe hands of Muris who is going to test out the guitar for me to make sure that it is 100% (I`ve asked him to leave as much "Muris residue" on it as possible in the vein hope that my fingers will draw in the magic that he possess`s )
I recieved two pictures on monday from Mirza (the incredibly talented man that makes these guitars) of the finished guitar, calling it a guitar doesnt seem right, its more than that, its an absolutly beautiful and incredible piece of art, once the guitar has been tested by Muris and he gives it the thumbs up it will then be sent to me and then I will collate all the pictures that I recieved whilst it was being built along with the specs etc for you guys to check out also.
Sorry USAMAN to keep ya on tender hooks for a little longer

Ladies & gentlemen, boys n girls I will now reveal to you the pictures that Muris has filtered out to me over the last few months 
So we have a maple neck with a rosewood 24 fret fingerboard
Early stages of painting, mahogany body with flamed maple top, 
Painting completed, some laquer to be applied and lots and lots of polishing, purple sunburst finish
AND FINALLY WITHOUT FURTHER A DO *more drum rolls*
The finished baby!! (I have two more pics at work that I forgot to email to myself that show it off beautifully, will add tomorrow!)
Duncan Distortion™ SH-6 and TB-6 pickups
Schaller locking trem
Gold hardware (sorry OC know its not your thing but I love it lol)
Cant wait to have this thing in my hands! some more testing to do, Muris has had a play and given me the thumbs up, thats good enough for me
I`m really chuffed with how its turned out, I gotta say that I owe Muris a huuuuge amount of thanks for keeping me updated and looking after my interest in the way that he has, what a guy!! thanks mate
Will take lots more photos when I have it in my possesion! Hope you guys like it as much as I do, well I dont mind if ya dont, I love it

Around 2,000 sounds like a (unbelievable) bargain - when a regular factory made Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 Electric Guitar sells for $3,213.00.
I have no idea what PRS charge for their private stock guitars ..

ouch. Mirza had a question about that he wanted me to forward to your. He was planning to make one more Les Paul but now you're paying him to make one less, Paal. It's been very confusing, he made a note of not doing one more. According to the not he will not make one less Paal so now he's actually back to where he started, to make one more Les Paul.
Are you infact paying him to make one less, Paal?

Looks good. Even with gold hardware I think gold hardware does actually fit on that guitar quite well. You can't cover up a turd with gold lol but a beauty looks even more stunning with gold

No he doesnt, Muris will be able to fill you in on the details a little better than myself, but from what I understand he does it mainly as a hobby as he has a full time job in large company. its just word of mouth mainly

I recieved my guitar a week ago now, so I thought I`d round this thread off with a couple more pics.
I cant tell you how happy I am with it, the pictures (and I`m sure Muris will back me up here) dont do it justice at all, its really beautiful.
I`ll be doing some recording/video with it over the coming couple of weeks so should be able to see it a little better then I hope

gold hardware really flash with the purple flamed top

no special reason as such, I love the colour but it also happens to be my wifes favourite colour, so it kinda softened the blow when justifing the cash

So I´m a owner of Mirza Kovacevic´s small masterpiece a cherry sunburst custom guitar. Look at the pictures, in my opinion this is the most beautiful MK-guitar in the whole GMC! I played an old Fender Stratocaster and now I had to change my preamp settings. The guitar has such power! I´ve just played it for some hours and I can already tell you that this is somthinge else!
