The Walther looks alot like the Luger, don't you think? The Germans have always impressed me with their engineering and design skills. Many of their WWll weapon systems outclassed the US hardware for most of the war. Look at the Tiger, the V2 rocket, the ME 262, and the Sturmgewehr, the first assault weapon. The battleship Bismarck and her sister ship the Tirpitz were the most deadly battleships of the war. Much has been documented about the death of the Bismarck. The Tirpitz was caught in Tromso, Norway inside a torpedo net by 32 British Avro Lancasters. Had these two ships been allowed to roam the Atlantic in tandem, they would have played havoc with Allied shipping. To this day, the US benefits from the weapons technologies of Germany, Great Britain, and Sweden. These countries produce fabulous engineers. For instance, the STRYKER is Swedish design, the M1 Abrams main gun is a 120mm smooth bore German design which replaced a 105mm rifled barrel British design. The famous US Delta Force commandos are patterned after the British SAS, arguably the best special force operators on the planet.
