Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Well, I was able to get a pretty decent take of this after lots of attempts. The faster bits could definately be played more cleanly, but this is definately the best take I'm going to be able to get in the next few weeks of trying, so I'd better post this one now, or get lost in the abyss of pentatonic finger picking forever. dry.gif I really do like the way the fingers have so much control over the tone when finger picking. You can articulate a lot of stuff that you just can't get with a pick. Got to work on getting better lighting. The glare from my desk lamp is kind of bright on the fret board.

Very cool cool.gif Great tone you got on this take !

As you've already said, some of the notes were missing on the faster runs but I think you captured the feel of the piece very well and did I mention the tone ? biggrin.gif

Some little mistakes and missed notes as Ben wrote. If you can get some more time to practice the lesson, go to record another take, man! With your tone you can reach a full score easily!

Yeah, this was almost perfect!

You should work on those licks a bit more to even up all the notes. Your phrasing is simply awesome! If those licks were done correctly, I'd give you 10+ smile.gif
