Posted by: DeepRoots Feb 24 2008, 09:18 PM

My guitar had needed resoldering for ages- i did a quick solder job and it seemed to hold okay for a while, though i had a really bad earthing problem - constantly buzzed.

BUt just now it dies while i was playing- i resoldered and it still wont work. She is in a coma.....not dead mad.gif

I will take her to guitar hospital tommorrow so she can get bandaged up sad.gif

Seriosuly though im really ticked off by this as i was making a hell of a lot of progress with Muris's Intermediate Mixolydian solo this weekend- what am i spupposed to do now?!?!?

STUDY?!?

.....sod that.

Watch a movie, listen to some good record, spend your time nicely
until you get your guitar back.
Or do some theory study,no harm there. )

Prepare something nice to eat and eat it, like pancakes with cream or sirup smile.gif Don't worry about a guitar, it would definitely not get away. You have a whooole life ahead of you to play . And pancakes I bet you don't make often wink.gif

Sorry to hear that man i hope you get it fixed. but i know how you feel. Lately i've just been wanting to play and i was really getting somewhere with Marcus' neoclassical solo and what happens? I break my high E string AGAIN :/. So now i've got to wait until tommorow. Never mind, hope you get it sorted smile.gif

Sorry to hear that mate, I hope she'll be better soon smile.gif
In the meantime, watch a movie or take a nap smile.gif

I've had same kind of problems with my high E string lately... I've broke it two times in the last couple of months, so I bought enough of them so there isn't anything that could stop me from jamming biggrin.gif

It's a real bummer man, I know my guitar was broken for sometime, but I managed to get it fixed just yesterday...
You just have to think of something else you enjoy in life rather guitar(I'm sure theres something)

Oh! and remember don't eat too many pancakes or you'll get a tummy ache tongue.gif

I loved my first bass and I was sad when I had to replace it..I went in a studio to record one song and I could not do it..Pickups were emitting hiss noise along with the notes itself and it was not possible to record it (bad sound)...I didn't realize this because it was hard to hear it on a normal amp , but going straight to DI showed it ... sad.gif

Just chill out for some time until you fix it... smile.gif

Is there a problem that pancakes cant fix????
I think not.

Well the guy at the guitar store has her and will phone me a little later on to set a price for the repair- i hope it wont be to much. But while i ws there i tried out a Ibanez RG Prestige, man! That thing was great!

Waaaay out of my budget at £1800 but it was a really beauty as well as the play/feel of the neck and body. Wow i cant wait to be able to buy gear like that tongue.gif

Posted by: Tjchep Feb 25 2008, 11:33 PM

Jesus, guitar stuff is so over priced in the UK!

Rg prestige is like $800-1400 over here.
