Hey, I was just thinking about how many bands actually creates great music in the start and then suddenly later in their career they start to make not so great music tongue.gif , or in some cases you like the new stuff they've created and dislike the old stuff.
So I was wondering what bands do you think, only has awesome albums (you should more or less like all the albums equally as much tongue.gif )

The only bands I can think of so far (IMO) is:

System of a Down
Dream Evil

And these two bands only has 4-5 albums each tongue.gif, if they had 9 or 10 I probably wouldn't have listed them tongue.gif

Blind Guardian, making only great albums since 1992 \m/ Before that they were good also, but from 1992 I would say they haven't make a bad song.

Rammstein haven't released a 'bad' album in my opinion.. Rosenrot and their first record may not be as exciting as the rest but they haven't released anything that I couldn't or wouldn't listen to again.

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned Opeth. Although I'm not familiar with their early works I know there's a lot of love for that band, and I like their recent stuff smile.gif

Easiest question of all time: AC/DC biggrin.gif

Theres a few others I can think of:

Guns N' Roses

Cool topic! It's difficult.. I have to agree with Blind Guardian and the bands that I could add are bands that don't have too much albums... I would add Nirvana, Foo Fighters and Muse.

Question is too difficult to give an objective answer. I'm not sure if I'd opted for a band because I grew up with it, or because his entire opus is really good !!
Anyway - Deep Purple, AC/DC, Wan Halen...

I could say Iced Earth easily, Regardless of lineup changes the riffs are always so good. I own all albums and each one is great. Agree with Blind Guardian as well. Another I would pick would be Ayreon, Avantasia, Three Inches Of Blood, Scar Symmetry, and Cannibal Corpse.

Just the ones that come quickest to mind.

System of a down for sure ...and Metallica (*getting ready for arguments*) - I think even St Anger has has a lot of good and original stuff.

It has to be said though - that keeping a somewhat regular flow of albums while both writing strong and original songs and somewhat stick to the bands original 'sound' must be one of the hardest things you can do!

Well, AC/DC record the same album over and over again...hard to get worse that way laugh.gif

I'm with Marek here, every single Blind Guardian album rocks. Same is true for the Foo Fighters.

Well said smile.gif Some fine selections. I might add ATHEIST to the list, (although the most recent album is still growing or trying to grow on me) and perhaps In Flames. Although not everyone would agree on In Flames as they have changed style a good bit at various points even going so far as to do a Depeche Mode Cover Song (Everything Counts)

I have to agree with the old school picks as well. AC DC, Van Halen, SRV, Hendrix Etc.

Also, how about King Crimson and perhaps Pink Floyd?

For a while I thought I was the only one that thought St.Anger was a good album, glad to see thats not the case. Yes it is different, but its still got the same traditional Metallica riffs. In fact, some of the arrangements are downright brilliant.
