My first thought would be:
1) Either your action is set too low, so strings can't maintain vibration. 2) The relief of your neck is not right, which in effects is also resulting in a wrong action. -------------------- "Don't practice until you get it right. If you haven't messed with guitar setup and action it just may be the strings...but its a slim chance..Possible the action is too low and it prevents string from vibrating and though loosing sustain..
