I don't eat for taste. If it's good for me and will help me perform in my sport, I'll eat it. I haven't had a slice of pizza in ... hmm cant remember I do have days when i indulge myself in unhealthy/ greasy/ tasty foods but it's limited 4 or 5 times a month. You'd be surprised what one is capable of achieving just by eating healthy. Body is a machine and it needs fuel to function appropriately. The quality of fuel matters a lot. And It effects EVERYTHING one does. Be it playing guitar, or sports, or studying or learning new skills. It's sad that nutrition is overlooked and ignored in the educational system.
