Take 2: Bourree - Bach Lesson, Lesson By Kosei Kubota |
|
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Bourree - Bach Lesson by Kosei Kubota
Yes I am working on the cross string trill...work in progress...I think the counterpoint/fingering is better here; the Bouree is a dance where there is little room for too many dynamics...the counterpoint should be considered the dynamic aspect of the piece...saying that I find it a difficult piece ( difficulty 4 should be more like 7 :))...Kosie rendition is a good example where he is frugal with the dynamics Could you also have a look at https://youtu.be/hPPTmNg3vJc and give me your views, there is a real tricky bit in the B section of the wonderful piece Tárrega: “Adelita" I am using this to sit my graded exams Finally I am not at the stage to be able play a piece live as in the video and get it 95% right..long way to go with that one Ty for all your input Links to previous attempts at this lesson: http://guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_forum/index.php?showtopic=56379 |

Hi mate!
This new take feels better to my ears. I think that you managed dynamics and groove with more feeling and this is surely related to the fact that you had more days of practice to connect with this tune. There are some obvious details to adjust on this one but the overall sound very good, just keep on practicing the lesson trying to make it sound smoother. There are some moments where your timing could be more natural but this is on the right track, just keep the hard work! I've also checked the other video which sounds good too. The main problem appears with trills. You need to isolate the licks that include this technique to get used to them. -------------------- My lessons
