I'm on a quest for instrument plug in's and wanted to know what are your fav's. This ia a new venture for me so wanted to here it from the great minds of GMC. I'm using Reaper so needs to be compatible of course. smile.gif

Free or not, what's your opinion?

I'm a big fan of pretty much all of Native Instruments' lineup. I don't have them but I've played with Reaktor, Absynth and Battery enough to have fallen in lust with them. Arturia has some interesting modeled synths too which are fun like the Moog Modular and Mini Moog and the Arp2600

Yeah thats pretty much sums it up, Trilogy best for bas by far though there are new exciting products on their way, for piano there is a 4th generation revolutionary program out, its only about 50mb in size because its a piano emulator and not a sampler, program is called Pianoteq.

SuperdrumFx(freeware)
glaceverb(freeware - best reverb I have heard so far)
Guitar Rig and Amplitube Metal also have some decent sounds.
4Front Bass Module(free bass vst instrument, nothing special but combines with an eq you can get an decent bass tone)
