Thanks to a lot of people on here I have been working towards upgrading an old Les Paul copy I have. In fact it's my only guitar and it has tremendous sentimental value so I've been unable to bring myself to replace it.

Anyway with great advice from you guys I purchased some Seymour Duncan Phatt Cats and with some fear I decided to fit them myself. Again your were all fantastics at pointing me to the various great tutorials on doing this.

So today. Soldering Iron in hand I finally got on with it ans swicth the pickups.

One word - Awesome!!

What a fantastic sound and sustain.

So, to let the other two guys in the band know that I've fixed up the guitar I put together a short video to send to them(they both have great guitars and so I was the poor cousin of the band!).

I thought you guys might enjoy it.

New Pickups

Cheers
Mike

They sound awsome but do you have an effect on like flanger or something because it sounds like it or is it the pickup?

I think they sound awesome but I can not really tell from the vid you posted because there was waaaaay too much flanger on the sound, ruining the actual sound of the guitar...

Sorry about all the flang. It actually sounds worse because I had to compress the video down. In the room through my amp the sound was great.

I don;t actually tend to play like that. I usually have it clean but I wanted to make the guys in the band sit up a bit smile.gif
