Just wish they werent paper thin. Other than that the S series is fantastic.

The paper thin approach helps with the shoulder weight so they make good stage guitars and won't break your spine after playing for extended periods. That said, the lack of heft does seem to limit some aspects of the tone. But mostly for low gain settings. I gotta say, I'd love of these. Really any of the new Ibanez models, especially the new RG reissue. Drool.

I'm not that much of a Ibanez fan but this guitar looks amazing. The finish is really beautiful - I wonder how it sounds.

Always loved my RG...it got stolen out of my house couple of months ago.
Wonder if they still are using the zero edge concepts on the bridges....??
It was simply amazing in comparison with the floating stuff..

I was really stoked to see they were doing an RG reissue smile.gif And yeah, this new one looks KILLER. I can't wait to get my hands on one. They use CHEEEAAAAPPPPP pickups though per usual. I have the stock pickups in my 90s RG560 and they are a bit crap, but they do exaggerate the frequencies that help picking remain clear/distinct as they have a bit of a mid range hump and roll off the bottom end. But for general use, you'd probably want to replace them with something better.

I was a bit taken aback when I saw the prices as I expected them to overcharge for the "Reissue" as other vendors sometimes do, but nope. Mid range price. Then again, it's an RG not a UNIVERSE so it' should be a bit cheap! smile.gif

I hate Infinity pickups. I hope to upgrade mine in my RG.
