I'm on a lookout for a new guitar..... and i noticed this new Jackson 2009 model:
http://www.jacksonguitars.com/products/pro...duct=2914001803 I thought it was absolutely stunning! But it's comes with SD Zebras.. anyone tried those and have any comments/complaints? I've heard some samples but never tried them out myself. -------------------- Guitars: Schecter Stiletto Classic, Jackson SLSMG, Ibanez RG-380 Japan, Gibson Les Paul Studio

Pricetag isnt exactly huge either.. and the specs (except the pickups and inlays) are identical to my SLSMG.
I'm quite keen on buying it But, i was also hoping to find a more all-around guitar then what i allready have.. would practically end up with the same one as i allready have if i bought it. -------------------- Guitars: Schecter Stiletto Classic, Jackson SLSMG, Ibanez RG-380 Japan, Gibson Les Paul Studio

This is exactly your SLSMG down to the last detail, it's the same guitar with a diffrent name and just comes with passive pickups and fretboardinlays...
http://www.jacksonguitars.com/products/spe...duct=2910104803 http://www.jacksonguitars.com/products/spe...duct=2914001803 The price of both guitars is the same so you're not really upgrading when buying this one, you are just buying a diffrent version of your old guitar... If you love your SLSMG and want another one, you might just get this one but if you want a *better* guitar then this is not a wise choice AFAIK Seymour Duncan has no pickup set that's called *Zebra* it's just the coil color! Guessing from Jacksons general pickup configuration I am pretty sure that's a Sh-4 Jeff Beck in the Bridge and either a Sh-1 59 or a Sh-2 Jazz in the neck. -------------------- Gear: - Jackson USA Select KV2 King V with EMG 81/85 - Gibson Les Paul Custom Arctic White with EMG 81/85 - Ibanez Rg 8527 J Custom 7-String with DiMarzio Evolution and Air Norton - Peavey 6505+ head with Marshall 1960AV 4x12 cab - Peavey Vypyr 30 Practice Amp - Dunlop Crybaby From Hell, Maxon OD808, Boss TU-2, MXR CarbonCopy, ISP Decimator, MXR Custom Audio Electronics Booster |

My SLSMG also has passive pickups... Are your pickups active Trond? The very first releases of the SLSMG had the HZ set, they changed the default set to actives sometime later. So i got the one with actives. -------------------- Guitars: Schecter Stiletto Classic, Jackson SLSMG, Ibanez RG-380 Japan, Gibson Les Paul Studio

Looks amazing in white, but does it really offer anything above your soloist? Your red one looks awesome too.
