Enjoying the videos as I type.
Those Alice in Chains videos are kind of disturbing to watch. I mean, I've been watching em for a while now. Tensions seems kind of high because you can really tell Layne Staley seems so out of it here, but this was also one of his best performances just because it fits the mood of the songs so perfectly. Plus, this was at the time when Staley parted ways with Alice in Chains so it must be kind of weird.
I love unplugged JAMS like this because it reminds me of the good old days of sitting in a park and just playing with some friends (no amps, and people would just stop and listen). That's where everything started with me (being interested in guitar, music and composition) and finding out what playing music was all about. I learned it was about finding your inner self, relaxing, having fun and just feeling the groove.
Cheers bro!
I think the 'Unplugged' were some of the best things ever shown on MTV!!!
Some of my favourite ones include the Nirvana, Eric Clapton and the ones you've posted!
My all-time favourite one was Bruce Springsteen one!!
Very cool videos. MTV had some really good unplugged shows. The best I've seen was Eric Clapton one.
I do love those MTV unplugged stuff, they don't do it to often anymore.
Great videos! Been a long time since I saw these

Bon Jovi's MTV Unplugged is just so epic. There are a lot to name that were great. Awesome stuff
Cool clips, I didn't know the Alice in Chains ones, thanks for sharing.
Satriani and Stevie ray vaughan unplugged!
My favourite one is the Alice in chains act!
They started with the Nutshell, what a hell of a song. Would be nice if some of GMC instructor covered that song and solo.
Love it!
MTV Unplugged was really the best show ever!
Thanks for sharing these!
Unplugged was a great concept.
My favourite fom those above is the one by Kiss.
If I remember rightly I think Springsteen cheeted and played some of the session "plugged"
Awesome posts, I watched all of them many times. Eric Clapton and Nirvana are also one of the best.
Wow! Do my eyes deceive me ? Satriani on Banjo !

And yeah ...Nutshell is such a great song.
It literally moves me.
Now, I remembered one that was truly amazing to. It was the MTV Unplugged from a band from here called Soda Stereo. Check them out, they're great
