The only ones I saw that "don't exist" were COUNTRY METAL (hehaw!) and maybe one other? But yeah this video RAWKS!!!! It really does break down the tropes of each given subgenre. I often forget just how specific each given genre is in terms of whats being played. When it has the name right as the style is playing it really hits ya. "Yup, thats Viking Metal alright!' and so on.


I think EXPERIMENTAL METAL is a wonderful thing since it can combine pretty much anything as long as it sounds "METAL". smile.gif Progressive Metal has some of those qualities too, but it has it's own baggage to carry.
