Hey guitarheroes out there

sorry that i disturb you again

can you explain me the difference from
8th to 8th triplet notes
and
16th to 16th triplet notes ?

i am not really sure if i understand that thing

my understanding is

time signature 4/4
standard beat count is 1-2-3-4

1/4 notes - 1 pick per beat
8th notes - 2 picks per beat
16th notes - 4 picks per beat

so if we have triplets then is it right to say

8th triplets - 3 notes per beat
16th triplets - 6 notes per beat (SHRED)

and HOW THE HELL can i write that in guitar pro ?
i only see standard 8th and 16th

thx and cya guys

Hello Henry,
first of all, you don´t have to excuse. We are here to help each other. smile.gif
You understood well the function/use of triplets. They are 3 rhythmically equal notes per beat.
Writing that in GP is very simple: just write the note you want as a 16th note. Then click on Note->Duration->-3-
Then you have 1/3 of a triplet. Complete the beat with the other notes you wanna have. A little hint: use "/" for a quicker selection of triplets. wink.gif

See you

Hey there Harry,

A triplet is a rhythm playing three notes in the space of two. That is, three evenly spaced notes in the space of two notes of the same rhythmic value.

The way to write this in Guitar pro is actually pretty easy. Select your notes and select the symbol you see below:
