Instructor Week Feature, what do you think about it?

Ok so the usual old fart is back on the main page. I think it's pretty safe to say that most people experienced this last week - Muris Week - as something very refreshing.

Not only was it nice to have a new face on the GMC front page - but it was also refreshing to have this new "GMC frontman" active in the chat, lots of lesson updates, collabs and competitions etc.

We will have a discussion between instructors about this new feature - but it definitely feels as we will be having more of these weeks.

What do you think about this feature? Did it affect your GMC experience in any way? Do you have suggestions on new features we could include in future "Instructor Weeks"?

For me it certainly provided extra inspiration (the new lessons and one of Muris' collabs). I've seen Muris in chat many times and active on the forums (even more than his average rolleyes.gif ), this was a really good idea and the first instructor week went pretty flawlessly! I loved the shredcast based on this event! And that's the key word: event. These kind of "activities" make this site even more fun...

I'm definitely waiting for the next one biggrin.gif

I think it's good for the website to have some changes and refreshments like this. Muris week was very interesting.

Really enjoyed it Kris, the experience of people like Muris and the wealth of knowledge they bring to the site is a fantastic resource for the users as well as providing inspiration and insight into their playing.

I really hope this continues on a regular basis, really looking forward to Ivan week!

I think it's a good idea to keep these weeks up as it keeps the front page fresh and means we get to see every instructor play without a backing smile.gif

I thought it was awesome.

I think it'd be good as something like the first week of every month.

It was very nice indeed, Kris:) Muris deserved to be the first:P

Btw. if David Walliman would accept it, I would be VERY excited, for his own week. I recently really started to love his tone and phrasing style:)

The GMC could have a special Christian skin for the week.. And right after that week of Lian Gerbino with Burzum on the main page biggrin.gif
