it'll be out of date pretty soon though mate laugh.gif .

I know this is personal preference but I wouldn't use a 2x1Tb striped SATA hard drive as the primary. I'd much rather have a much smaller 60Gb (maybe a Raptor 10,000RPM) in two partitions and put the 4 1Tb Satas over as a 2nd and 3rd data drive - one for storing and streaming samples and the other SATA to record to. I'd also put the 2nd SATA as a mirrored array rather then striped.

Also in this price range I'd cancel the supplied sound card and get an internal RME or similar or use an external and dump the suppled speakers and get proper monitors.

I'd prefer two 21'' monitors to a single 42 and wouldn't ultimately need 3 SLI'ed video cards - but I don't play high end video games smile.gif .

I'd like a second 1000 ethernet connection and more firewire. 10 USB 2s though would be good cool.gif .

16 Gb of ram and it's specced as 32 bit Vista rolleyes.gif - bit of a waste wink.gif .

Like OC says all that cash and only a standard keyboard and mouse laugh.gif .

14,000 USD though huh.gif - maybe I'd have a cheap pc and buy a couple of guitars laugh.gif

All personal preference though cool.gif .

Cheers,
Tony

I think Raptors 300GB are soon to be on the market. SO for the system partition definitely check these two in RAID 1 cool.gif

The rest of configuration is cool but it can be better. I mean Sound Blaster X-Fi ? Come on biggrin.gif
