Hi Chris!! Great work!!
Based on your submits these are your results: TASK 1: 4 + 2 coins TASK 2: 2 coins TOTAL: 8/10 coins. You did a very good job with Malmsteen lesson and the improvisation. The pitches of your bends are very precise, and your vibrato is also good. Sometimes it (vibrato) can be more regular, and wider, but this is very close. I've also enjoyed the energy of your improvisation. It has some technique issues on fast picking passages, but we are working on it. The technique exercise is not ready for this tempo. This is not your fault, it's mine that I've suggested 160 bpm. You need to practice this exercise at a slower tempo to be able to play everything tight, with both hands in sync, and focusing on making the movements the smaller possible. Congratulations, assignment 2 is passed!! -------------------- My lessons

Great Chris. While preparing the new assignment I'm listening to your track. It sounds powerful, there are really cool ideas on it, and your playing it very tight!
The parts are interesting, but in order to give some valuable feedback I'll share what I feel when I listen to it. I think that it's lacking a catchy section. The track is a combination of flashy parts which is good, but after many parts I start to need some kind of harmonic movement, and any type of catchy melody. I think that it could be really helpful for you to analyse some tracks in this style and notice how the structure is managed, how the parts create contrasts in order to give a clearer direction to the track. For example check some Andy James songs, or Angel Vivaldi's. ASSIGNMENT #3: Goals: - Alternate picking training - Hands Sync TASK 1: - Work on this lesson: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...picking-thirds/ TASK 2: - Work on these lesson: Shred Journey - LESSON #9 - Building speed LESSON #10 - Incorporating Inversions Exam and deadline: By August 26st you'll have to share 2 videos: - A video playing the alternate picking lesson (5 coins) - A video practicing the lesson #9 & #10 over metronome at a tempo in which you can play clean and tight (5 coins) Each of these videos will be evaluated (check the coins value below). You need to get at least 7 coins to pass. If you pass, we can continue, if you don't you will have a second "call". hello gabriel. Thank you for the comments and advice about my composition.
I am currently working exercises and lesson. I ask myself questions about my right hand position, holding my mediator, and my wrist movement. I watched several videos on youtube about it. What kind of wrist movement should I adopt? Thank you in advance. What is the end date of the work I have to do? Great Chris. While preparing the new assignment I'm listening to your track. Hi Chris, I've fixed the deadline for the first assignment.
All those videos are great! There are different approaches to alternate picking but here are some things that are necessary: - Start the movement from your wrist, and a bit from your elbow. - Don't do right hand fingers movement. - Try to make the movement the smaller possible. If you follow those 3 principles and emulate one of the masters you've shared, you are on the right track. -------------------- My lessons

Hi Chris!! Congrats on your great job!!
Based on your submits these are your results: TASK 1: 4 coins TASK 2: 4 coins TOTAL: 8/10 coins. There is one details that I would check and maybe modify which is the way you are holding your pick. Check out your right hand thumb. You are not touching the pick with the tip of the thumb, and I think that it quits you some precision when picking. Check out some of the vids that you's shared of those killer players and notice if you find any of them holding the pick like you, if you do, keep it, if not, I would try the other way. About sharing the vid at REC, sure! -------------------- My lessons

Hello Gabriel.
I have a question about the LESSON #12 - Sliding of Todd. When i see the video, Todd is playing each note two time. On the tab, it's write 1 time. So, do i have to play each note once or twice ? And, do i have to finish each lick by a pinch harmonic as Todd do ? Thank you in advance Message edited : Now, i have a question about the LESSON #11 - Inverting Inversions. In exercise 12, please play what is in the tab, forget the video. In exercise 11 play what's played and showed in the video. Is it possible? -------------------- My lessons

Hi mate! Great to find the assignment completed!
I think that you've done a great job during this days of practice. There are some issues to adjust but the overall is totally positive. About Becker's style lesson, yes, the main issue is vibrato and the use of tremolo bar. You tend to make the note sound out of pitch so be careful with the "bend" done when using both techniques. Also, I think that maybe there is one string isn't tuned perfectly in this video. The other two videos sound good. There is still work to do in order to be able to feel more comfortable with the current speed and slowly increase speed, but everything looks good, you just need more days of practice. Based on your submits these are your results: TASK 1: 3 coins
TASK 2: 4 coins TOTAL: 7/10 coins. -------------------- My lessons

Hi mate, it's not horrible! I'll give you 4 days more in order to adjust the pitch and share a new take. What do you think?

Hi mate! Great job! There pitch issues are minimum now, the overall sounds really good! Congrats on being that fast to fix this.
You can't replace your REC take, but you can add a new one labelled as TAKE 2. That's how it works. Check the guidelines. -------------------- My lessons
