I am returning to the states after a year in Europe and have a little road trip planned through the beautiful smokey mountains of Tennessee and North Carolina.

And i need your help to make the ultimate music cd.

What are the most awesome ever. Songs you must hear on the best of the best.

Here is what I have so far......

Thunder Road Bruce
Bring me to Life Evenescence
Layla EC
Comfortably Numb PF
Little Wing EC
Jungleland Bruce
Bohemian Rhapsody Queen
Stairway to Heaven Zep
Nothing else Matter Metallica

But it is a ten hour trip. I need more power.

So I am asking for your help. Classic stuuf, blues, obscure tunes that you like personally..................ideas?

Thanks in advance

Well this has become special and I am very thankful for your help. I am downloading for itunes at least one tune from each of you as a special GMC tribute. I have checked out as many tunes as I can from itunes (they should be thankful) and then boght a whole slew of music.

here is what I have added so far.......

Rockztar Al Dimeola's - mediterranean sundance

MickeM The Doors - Roadhouse blues
Spencer Davis group - Gimmie some lovin'

Siggum Doobie Brothers - Long train running

Kyldeee Dire Straits - Brothers In Arms
Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing

Your selections have also made me remember songs that I had not thought of.............Telegraph Road by Dire Staits.............awesome so happy to remember that.

Anyway, I am still going through the songs and will post as I add more. Stopped after Kyldeee's dire straits so there is lots to go.......gonna be a great trip.....

Thanks everyone.....can't wait to keep going through all your great tunes...

If it's only one Alice in Chains song...I'd say either Down in a Hole or Rooster! Don't know which is best for a road trip... they're both magnificent.
