That would be an awesome comparison to make! I tried the Charvel GG at NAMM, SUCH a beautiful guitar.
http://sixstringsamurai.co.nz/2014/02/04/n...ovan-signature/ Someone had bought the birdseye top one already by the time I got there, sadly. But the flame top one just looks amazing. It has a little bit of a steampunk feel to it with the custom brass-bobbin pickups, which I really dig. And the neck joint is elegant and as close to an Ibanez AANJ in terms of ergonomics as Charvel have ever gotten. -------------------- http://www.six-string-samurai.com - Gear reviews for the terminally GAS-afflicted.
Thank you to John at GMC for inviting me to hang out and talk gear with you guys! |

Hehe, that would be awesome. Sadly, the chances of either one of those guitars in NZ is also pretty low! We don't have a dedicated Suhr dealer any more (used to, but maybe there wasn't enough demand to sustain the business) and the Charvels being brought in are mostly the mid-range Japanese and Chinese Desolation series.
