Hey guys,
I noticed on the Line 6 website something I don't understand. Maybe somebody can enlighten me: If you own the POD studio UX2 and you would like to have the expansion packs for POD farm you pay: - Power pack: 99.95 dollar, Metal / Collectors pack: 49.95 dollar each If you own the POD studio UX1 or GX and you would like to have the expansion packs for POD farm you pay: - Power pack: 49.95 dollar, Metal / Collectors pack: 24.95 dollar each So, all in all that's a difference of 100 dollars more if you have bought the highest-end of all 3 devices.... am I missing something here, but I do not see any reason/diffference on the actual expansion packs usage regardless of the device used. Anybody tried to purchase it through the UX1 route, and then using it for the UX2? Will the licence key be device limited or can it be used for multiple devices? Cheers for your help This post has been edited by Velvet Roger: Feb 8 2009, 09:20 PM -------------------- "Don't practice until you get it right. Practice until you can't get it wrong." When you purchase a model pack it's installed on your device, in this case the UX2. If you try to purchase the same pack saying you have a GX/UX1 it might not get installed on your UX2, as line-6 detects the exact device you have connected.
So I guess you won't be able to do that. I always wondered why it was cheaper to get the mod packs for GX than UX2, being the exact same thing... Just to be sure you can ask line-6 at their forums. -------------------- Guitars:

Perhaps they think that when you get UX2 you have more money, so you have to pay more
Just kiddin of course, a bit offtopic, I've been using a default pack that came with the UX1 for quite some time now, and I never needed any expansion at all. I don't think it is necessary. -------------------- - Ivan's Video Chat Lesson Notes HERE

This is reverse logic...Try emailing them and asking why is that and is it some kind of mistake...as i certainly looks like a mistake..
Also its not that cheap , maybe you should think about if you need those expansions after all ? -------------------- For GMC support please email support (at) guitarmasterclass.net

I did not even decide whether I would like any expansions or not, but when I was browsing the site I noticed this strange thing
You are probably don't need the expansions, but I have a strange habit that I always want to have as much as possible out of a device -------------------- "Don't practice until you get it right. Just an update:
I decided to give it a try (buying the expansions for the UX1 while having the UX2). This saved me loads of money and it works flawlessly . And although I probably could reach all the tones that I want without the expansions, the possibilities I currently have, and a couple of fender amp models which are now present really made my night perfect -------------------- "Don't practice until you get it right.
