Dear all,
It gives me great pleasure to announce the rollout of the GMC REC program. For those of you that don't know what this is, we have been discussing it in the forums for a little while now. The basic idea is that you can gain a forum qualification by submitting a video of you playing a GMC lesson. It will be graded by the instructors, and as you grow in experience and level of playing you can get successively higher and higher titles, evolving from a "Learning Chord Basher" to an "Ultimate Guitar God". We hope that one day this will form the basis for a GMC diploma of some sort, but for now, it allows people to gauge and measure their progress objectively, and build up a validate record of their abilities. We have a new forum for the REC program here, and there are full instructions on how to submit videos for grading here. If you are interested in the criteria the instructors will be using to grade you, they are described here. The final part is that we will be maintaining a league table of all GMC:ers in the program so you can see at a glance how you rate against other GMC members, and you will also have an individualized page that keeps a record of your achievements - a great thing to show to a new band who might want to audition you for instance So what are you all waiting for - lets get this show on the road! -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile
