Task 16: http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Bens-Vibrato-Odyssey-3/

Warriors !! There is another Donut up for grabs this week.. but who will be brave enough to claim it ? You're going to have to face the wrath of slow, controlled string bends... I can already sense Chandra cursing me as I write this ! laugh.gif

I know you guys can do it.. ph34r.gif

Deadline is next Saturday 19th May

Hey Ben,

Just wanted to post this as well. I have been trying to get the bends right and vibrato got lost in the air. smile.gif One thing I noticed is when I apply bug vibrato when its bent, it sounds off so tried little ones. But also noticed that when I came back down and tried big vibrato, the note is almost dead. sad.gif I wish I could get some sustain.

Hope you like it anyways. smile.gif

Thanks,
Chandra

WOO ! Chandra gets himself a Donut ! biggrin.gif

That sounds great. I know what you mean about the note dying off, it's a pain in the a** but you made everything sound really cool cool.gif

Thanks Ben. :-)

Hey Ben! Here's my take on your Odyssey 3. I had the same issue as Chandra as far as sustain goes. Notes would die, especially when applying vibrato to some of the 3-step bends.

Looking forward to the next step! Hard to believe it's been 16 already. Have a good one!!

Hahaha! Yeah, I know I probably should. biggrin.gif

I'll record one tonight and get it posted. I should have done it straight away but my sustain problems had me a little unconfident about making a video.

Beautiful tone !! It's a shame about the disappearing notes... you guys should have the sustain to end the world with all your fancy guitar software, compared to me and my stone age gear like valve amps wink.gif

Very nicely done cool.gif

You would think. Sustain should be something that could be addressed with the software. I will say though I'm using a pretty old version of Guitar Rig, at least 2 generations old, so the newer versions may be better at handling that. Neither of my guitars were very expensive either so that probably has something to do with it as well.

Thanks for the comments Ben. smile.gif I'm going to try and get a video up later tonight.
