The Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 you mention seems to be a classic among GMC:ers, all that have it are quite happy from what I've read. As a matter of fact I plan on getting me one in the near future

That logitech 9000 is a very good web cam..But what I would suggest you would be to get a MiniDV camcorder any one you want (it can be used to)..You will need a firewire interface to transfer videos from tapes to PC..You will get a great picture and frame rate (MiniDV is a great standard in video production).

Try to find miniDV camera with firewire interface mate, I think you can find some cheap models for 100 quid. If not, go for logitech 9000. In both cases, you will need a good lightning.

I'll have a look but i haven't found anything so far. And i have lighting so that shouldn't be too much of a problem. What do people think of the Samsung VP-D361? The Samsung and the Logitech both seem to have good reviews, so im stuck. Is it worth payong £40 more for a camcorder instead of a webcam? Yes - at this price point every penny counts - that's going to be better quality and more versatile than the webcam I would think. -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile

Does anyone know if Flip Ultra/Mino's are any good? This seems to be my choice, the Logitech (for£60), the Samsung (for£100) or the Flip(£80). Just now i'm leaning towards the Samsung. Any ideas which one is best?

Samsung is by far the best choice mate. Better optics for sure then a regular webcam, and better electronics as well. Be sure it has firewire out, so you can plug it in your PC, and stream the video from the cam. You should also get a firewire cable if you don't have one, they usually don't come with the cam, specially low end ones.
