Hello,

Yesterday I have watch the DVD In the Flesh from Roger Waters. Something really stroke my eyes in this DVD. One of the guitarist was playing in a strange way. After a few close shot on him I realized that he was playing with reverse strings. That means that is high e string is replaced by the low e string and so on... The guy plays lefty but with all the strings reversed. I have never seen that before but that guys surely know how to play.... I made a few research on him and I realized that his father was a drummer and a close friend of the great Stevie Ray Vaughan. At the age of 16 Doyle Bramhall II was touring with Jimmy Vaughan.

I don't know if that technique as some advantage and I don't know why someone would learn like that. The nly explication I see is that he knew he was lefty and he learned on a right handed guitar.. So he just turned it and learned to play with the strings upside down...

Here are a few videos

That technique surely work well for him ..
