That's good question.
We have 12 different "root note" keys,starting lets say E and up through one octave,F,F#,G,#,A etc. Since I've done lots of practicing during years I can tell than I'm good with most of scales/keys such as: major,3 minors,3 groups of 7 modes,pentatonics etc. To be honest with you,I don't pay that much attention to "root" note(like "learning" tune in key of G), mostly I look between notes/degrees so I can easily transpose from key to key. It takes lot of time of course. -------------------- Youtube
