So, Into Eternity recently released the cover art and new album title for there upcoming cd release. Here is the full detail of Into Eternity's first concept album about Cancer.

On the eve of releasing their first concept album and follow-up to the critically acclaimed The Scattering of Ashes, Canada’s INTO ETERNITY are excited to unveil new album artwork and a complete track list for their fifth full-length, The Incurable Tragedy. The album is slated for a Sept. 2nd release in North America, and will hit Europe on Aug. 25th and Japan on Aug. 27th.

The idea to write and record an album that explores the effects of cancer was culled from the passing of guitarist Tim Roth’s best friends, brothers Dave and Danny Stephenson. The two passed away within two months of each other, both from cancer. To make matters worse, when the band began demoing new material shortly after the completion of the Scattering tour, Roth's father was diagnosed with cancer as well. The Incurable Tragedy is not only a tribute to the lives of these three people but to those before and after them who suffer through this disease, either personally or through loved ones. Additionally, the Stephenson family, Roth, and others have helped contribute to Band of Brothers, Inc., a non-profit organization committed to raising funds to assist families with costs associated with recovering from cancer.
More details can be found at www. band-of-brothers. ca.

Roth elaborated further on the album's conceptual inspirations: “The color green is the theme of the album. The new site runs with the green theme as well. Before Dave died, he got a killer Green IE Icon tattoo on his forearm. Since then, fans from all over have got this same tattoo, but different colors of course. Dave and I had talked about this 5th release back in 2006 and we agreed to go with the color green and then he got his cool tattoo. Dave never got to see it all come to life, but here it is done today for you all to see.

INTO ETERNITY has an impressive set of tours already lined up both before and after the new album’s North American release. They join Necrophagist, Dying Fetus, Beneath the Massacre, Whitechapel and more for Summer Slaughter Canada in mid-August before co-headlining the Burning Star Festival and serving as direct support to a Matt Barlow-fronted Iced Earth.

Cover artist Mattias Noren (Evergrey, Epica, Stratovarius) has maintained a long-standing relationship with the band and will again handle another INTO ETERNITY release. His fifth work for the band is dark, haunting and multilayered, not unlike the music within. The Incurable Tragedy is the first to feature Justin Bender (guitars) and Steve Bolognese (drums), who came aboard shortly after the group finished Gigantour ‘06.
The new track “Diagnosis Terminal” can be heard on the band’s revamped MySpace page at www. myspace. com/officialintoeternity, and the album can be pre-ordered for $10 at www. cmdistro. com.
