Love is a bitch..
Recently a daughter of my parents childhood friends from Kazakhstan came to Israel for a 1 month visit, After just two days that she was here, we kissed, and it led to a 1 month intense romance..

I genualy fell in love with her, and this is the first time in my life that I fell in love with someone who also fell in love with me. We knew how it's going to end, that she had to fly back home... but it just doesn't matter.

I'm in love with her, and even though it's already been exactly a month since she left, I can't spend a day, an hour, a minute without thinking about her, I write her love letters, poems, and music every day.

The best sentence I can think of which describes how I feel for her, is that I can't think of another woman like I think of her.

I would give just about anything to just get on a plane to Kazakhstan...
But I still can't do it, I'm not ready for it, I gotta live my dream here, and become successful with my band before I can pursue this new dream....

So in a way it's both very bad and very good.. Yes, I'm not with her, and I'm completely heart broken and I break every day because of it, but I also got a new goal to my life now, to one day be with her again...

I know it might sound like a movie to some, but this is my reality right now.. most of the times I find it really hard to cope with it, but the only thing I ever wanted as badly as being with her, is being a musician, and I see that I give 300% of myself to chase the dream of being a musician, so I know I'll give at least 400% to chase her..

Sorry for the rant, just needed to get this off my chest.. plus I'm a bit drunk so it kinda contributes to this..

Nice story man smile.gif I remember when this first happened to me I was 10 years old smile.gif From such things there is always something that comes out good. Because of her I wrote half of the album with my first band. She knew about it and we had a chance to meet 6 years later and remember it all. That was even better experience. But life goes on, she is now mom of 2 kids etc...

Well Iluha I think I got something to share me too about that subject...

As some of my GMCer friends know, my fiance left me 3.5 months ago, so it was all crap, and I felt really lost, I loved her but I wasnt in love with her if you get my meaning, but I was prepared for all, to start a family, to take responsibilities etc. But after she left me all my life collapsed, and the music was the only thing to hang on. So I did this, I swore off the relationships, maybe having some casual things over here and there, trying to get used to loneliness. Then one day, I met that dutch girl on the club that I am was on stage, we spent 24 hours together as she was leaving the next day, and I liked her... Well that was what I thought I did. After few days I understood that I was actually in love with her. And fortunately, we started to talk over the net, and I found out that she shared the same feelings... So we felt really cheated by love. The distance was roughly 2300 km and I had no way to get there, as like you, I have a band here which is about to release its first album and as I am potentially an immigrant (who cant possibly have a visa) now that I finished my college smile.gif So suddenly she decided to come back to visit me one month later, we had that great 72 hours this time... Now we are both ok, knowing that nothing is impossible, we are having rational plans for the immediate future and we are having fun even though we are away. Yes, don't call me crazy I have a dutch girlfriend 2300 km away ! tongue.gif laugh.gif

Anyway the point is, if your bond is strong you can make this happen. It is very very very very hard but not impossible. The thing you need to ask yourself does it worth the pain?

Hope my little story helps biggrin.gif

Great stories! And it's always good to let these things off your chest.

About sounding like a movie cliche; I guess all movie love stories has been inspired from somewhere, right? wink.gif

I basicly feel the same way you did after braking up with you'r fiancee, getting in quite of a bit of casual flings, hoping to find a girl who I'll be able to think about as I think of her.
And also all of this inspired me to write quite a bit of songs, and I plan to eventually produce an entire album solely for her.

You'r not crazy, I believe love has no laws, this is why I'm not afraid of pursuing this love that may seem to others as impossible.

Well if you think that it is worth of it, don't care about others, just live your life... As we know, pain is a part of our lives, live it, suffer and after everything is over, you will feel alive! biggrin.gif

Man that is a nice story, we've all been there at some point smile.gif I remember first falling in love with girl on the sea. I was about 10-11, and fell in love within a week, took me months to get over it biggrin.gif as time went by, it passed ofc... but I never forgot about it wink.gif
Interesting thing that Emir suggested is that you can try to write songs now, it's a bit strange perhaps, but best inspiration comes when you are away from your love and full of emotions. Try to transpose those emotions into songs. and of course - Take care man.

I met my wife 1 week before I moved to the USA to go to school. We maintained a long distance relationship, for four years, seeing eachother for about 2 weeks a year. Sometimes we were lucky and had one week in a row! We even ended up getting married while I was still in the USA. When I came back to Canada, I started work, but three hours from where she was working. By the time we coordinated ourselves and bought a home, 2 weeks later, baby made three. If it's there man, it's worth the wait. Keep the communication open. I was pursuing my dream, she was pursuing hers, we stayed together understanding this and when the time was right, we pursued our dreams together.

Good luck bro!

Tom in Canada
