GMC Forum _ Introduce Yourself ! _ Hello Everybody!

I'm Michael, i'm 17 years old, and i'm playing guitar for +/-3 years. i signed up GMC in June 2008, but i was interested in lessons only. i'm writing about me so late, because i joined forum yesterday:P

i'm learning in the secondary school, i'm in math class, and i have always thaught, it's so cool.
then i met one guy, who was playing guitar. so i decided to try it too. and... i felt in love:D when i started playing, i knew, i want to play metal, or something like this, and i wanted to be solo guitarist. i was learning sone songs of Metallica or Iron Maiden, but after 2 years i wasn't able to play it well. then i have found the GMC, and in 2 months i've learned more than earlier:)
now i'm practising as often as possible, my friends think, it's madness, and my parents are happy, becouse i'm not wasting my time playing computer games (like earlier:P).
and some time ago i have founded, that not only metal is so cool. now i don't care what kind of music i want to play. i just want to develop my skills, and i really like etude lessons.

i think, that's everything, so i won't write more;P

Aw the forum's a great place and also a superb place to learn more that you can't get from a video lesson. There are loads of fantastic musicians here that are all very approachable and helpful.
You likes metal and maths.. why not start writing some math metal riffs in the vein of DEP, Converge, Meshuggah?

Artemus, i'm quite embarassed, but i don't know them. but i will fix it:) which albums do you recommend?
it's one funny think about my own riffs. they always sound like Metallica's ones, and after 15 minutes i know which song is it:P
