> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Ah yes, I remember this lesson when I gave it to Marek to learn.. it's a real good riff and hell of a challenge !

Ok, your picking hand is definitely the stronger hand on this.. the hardest part was the alternate picking lick at the end, but I think the left hand found it harder so the second from last note was lost on many of those repetitions. For stuff like this I often concentrate more time on the left hand.. the more in synch it is, the less work your right hand has to do as well because it doesn't have to over compensate to keep in time with a fretting hand that is lagging.. I hope that makes sense ! smile.gif

Hey Ize, Ben is right! So, I guess a little more slow practicing and attention to his advice should do the trick! Anyway, Congratz! You did a good job all in all!

Good riffing man! I like how the fact that you are playing the riffs with strong picking... this is very important for metal. The last section is the most difficult and it need some more practice but your are very close to master it.

Excellent work Isac, but this was a bit hard indeed. I think downstrokes eventually got your hand a bit tired, and this is the only reason you made couple of tiny picking and timing mistakes int he second half. All in all, I think you did a great job, will give you a 9er.
