Help With Guitar Pro, Importing MIDI |

Hello guys,
I hope you can help me with this little issue I'm sure there's a solution for, When I import a MIDI file to Guitar Pro the fingering on the fretboard results very different to what I wanted. This is very understandable as the machine doesn't have a way to know what fingering I wanted for that particular MIDI file. Is there a way to transpose let's say something that's doing: (On the first string) -----3-----4------5------ -------------------------- -------------------------- --------------------------- --------------------------- --------------------------- to: -------------------------- ------8---9----10---- --------------------- ------------------ ----------------- ------------------- which is the equivalent, pitch wise Or maybe a way to tell GP what string I want that part to be on? thank you in advance! -------------------- Visit my:

Sadly, I don't think there is. You have to manually go through the tab and sort out the fingerings.
Oh, the time I've spent doing such things >.> |

You can
 Select the note, or just position your cursor on the note. Hold CTRL or ALT (not sure) and hit the down or up key on the keyboard, depending to which string you want to move it. That will move the note to the next string and keep the pitch.

If i remember it correctly Guitar Pro has a function to "optimize" the finger positions for easier playing... Maybe that works too...
