I think that's a Cream cover, hence the Clapton sound. I think he's more like a British equivalent of Johnny Lang.

He has a lesson/interview from the current tour on Ultimate-Guitar.tv in which he teaches one of their newer songs. I'm always disappointed when they say "i don't really know any scales," but then he adds "maybe Minor Pentatonic and Blues scales.." Haha, those 2 will take a blues player a long way down the career path. wink.gif
