It's a great advice! If you are practicing at a slow speed you will get better results it might take some time but it is worth it!

Tony is the Man smile.gif I get a kick out of seeing him in these old vids when he had huge hair and all but he's such a killer player that he could probably pull off that that hair cut even today and get away with it.

He played in STEVE VAI's live band for quite some time and there are some amazing vids of he and Steve ripping it up. Keeping up with Steve vai, not in terms of speed, just in terms of licks/style, is no small task and Tony is one of the guys who can actually share the stage with Steve and not sound like a backup player.
