Noise Gate For Squealing Preamp |

This is the deal, the preamp of my Switchblade is quite squealy when I turn up the gain. Can you reccomend me, preferably out of own experience, a noise gate that'll kill the squeal? To go in the fx-loop that is.
I have realized that the market of noise gates is a little bit trixtery, some gear aren't noise gates in that sense but just hum cancelers. 50 cycle hum isn't a problem, pedals taking care of that only aren't an option. Some works well in the loop but not infront of the amp, others the other way around. Can't buy em all until I strike a good one. Suggestions? -------------------- My bands homepage

AFAIK a noise gate won't work in the EFX loop if the loop is parallel.

I saw the guys from Black Dahlia Murder using the Boss NS-2 on a Dual Rectifier, it sounded damn tight!
But I don't know if it's great for squealing...will check out the ISP Decimator -------------------- Visit my:
